Hi there, last weekend I was invited to spend some time with the Make Up International team, demonstrating some of their wonderful products at IMATS LONDON 2012. For those who don't know, IMATS is the International Make Up Artist Trade Show, also held in New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Sydney and Toronto and produced by Make up Artist Magazine.
Although the snow tried it's best to stop us the show went on and WOW what a show. There were some fab Keynote speakers and professional masterclasses including Academy Award winning make up artist Lois Burwell (Warhorse, Braveheart) and Ally Pally (that's Alexandra Palace for those outside of North London) was alive with spectacular creatures from some vivid imaginations.
Make up brushes were brushing, airbrushes were sweeping and sponges were dabbing all day as professionals, buyers and students tested, watched and wowed at the products and expertise on offer.
IMATS is a great place for companies to introduce new products to the Make-up-ing community and Make Up International took full advantage of this showcasing some beautifully assembled 24 colour pallets for lips, eyes and character make up. All of their pallets come in a fully magnetic, light weight case and they even offer a bespoke service via their website which allows you to create your mix of eyes, lips, blushers all in one.
Other stands worthy of note were Temptu, MUD, Mac and Wigs Up North and a big thank you to the lovely lady from Dermalogica who gave me a lift up a very snowy hill!
